Why No Peanuts?

Usually, when talking about trail mixes and gourmet nuts, peanuts are inevitably part of the conversation. However, at Almond Brothers, we don’t like to use peanuts for a few simple reasons.

First, peanuts are a pretty severe allergen. Even products prepared on the same surfaces as peanuts can trigger a reaction, and we want everyone to enjoy our snacks.

Second, peanuts are actually pretty unhealthy, not just in a “high sodium” way. In fact, peanuts can make it harder for your body to absorb useful nutrients, so they cancel out the healthier parts of a gourmet nut mix.

Finally, peanuts just don’t fit with our brand’s aesthetic. We are the Almond Brothers, after all. Instead, we choose to focus on the top three nut alternatives – almonds, cashews, and pecans. Once you try our delicious snack flavors, we’re sure you won’t miss peanuts.
